Dee Goldman, the Coralville Lake Operations Manager stated last night that water is flowing into the Coralville Lake Reservoir from the Marengo area at 35,000 cubic feet per second. He says that water is going to breech the spillway; they are predicting it to go over on June 4th and crest on June 8th or 9th.

Yesterday the Coralville Lake’s water discharge was increased from 10,000 cubic feet per second to 14,000 and they expect to increase it to 17,000 today while gradually continuing to up it to 20,000.

Goldman adds that communities downstream, such as Columbus Junction and Wapello will be impacted.
