The KCII Severe Weather Action Team (SWAT) went into action yesterday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. for a severe weather storm warning in Washington County. The warning was extended to 4:45 p.m. The warning was for Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Louisa and Washington counties. The radar indicated storm moved northeast at approximately 60 miles per hour and produced rain and strong winds in the area. One listener reported trees blown over near Conesville, while another reported strong winds that blew trees over and destroyed a shed southeast of Brighton.
