WACO Yard Cleaning Fundraiser

October 30

Friday, October 30th, WACO Students will be helping to clean fall yard waste for area residents. This fundraiser is for the students to earn money for their spring trip to Europe. Cost is $20 for small yards and $30 for large yards. Riverside Costume Contest

Online voting is going on now for the City of Riverside Costume Contest. Best costume will be judged in five categories; ages three and under, four- to seven- year olds, eight- to 12- year olds, 13- to 15- year olds, and 16-18- year olds. Each entry will be published with the costume character alias and the real names of the winning contestants will be announced. Wayland Main Street Greet and Treat

You’re invited to the Main Street Greet and Treat in Wayland Friday, October 30th from 5-6:30p.m. Join the event in costume. More than 25 downtown business and groups are participating. You will start at the southwest corner of Central Park and move down a one way path to maintain social distancing. Along with trick-or-treating will be a pumpkin judging contest.

Kalona Farmers Market

The Kalona Farmers Market will be held in downtown Kalona every Saturday in September and October from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. Shoppers will be able to pick up locally made items such as jams, arts and crafts, handmade products, fresh produce, baked goods, and more. Face coverings and social distancing are encouraged for shoppers.
