The Washington Demons’ boys track and field team sent a small squad to Wapello on Tuesday, competing a meet called early due to weather.

The Demons placed ninth with 20 team points. Top performers included a fourth place finish for the 1600m distance medley team of Zander Magnuson, Junior Valdez, Clayton Bartholomew, and Zach Hotchkiss, and a fifth place finish for the 4x200m relay team of Blaine Rees, Grant Whisler, Creighton Guy, and Blayze Richardson.

Top individual performance came from both Zander Magnuson, who finished sixth in the high jump, and Bryer Sobaski, who finished sixth in the 110m hurdles. Another top ten finish came from Creigton Guy, who finished ninth in the 100m.
