KCII received accolades over the weekend. KCII on-air staff received awards for In Depth Series, Farm and Agribusiness, Radio Feature, Sports Coverage and Sports Play-by-play at the Iowa Broadcast News Association Awards Ceremony and Convention held in Johnston on Saturday, April 18th. KCII News Advisor Sally Hart received first place in the Farm and Agribusiness category. Hart also received second place in Sports Coverage, and third place in Radio Feature. KCII News Director Jennifer Wilkerson received third place in the In-Depth Series category.  KCII Program Director Zach Ulin received second place in Sports Play-by-Play.  

The annual statewide news conference was held at the Stoney Creek Inn in Johnston, and awards for work from 2025 were presented.
