Washington girls soccer is carrying a ton of momentum heading into the postseason, winning its sixth straight with a 7-2 rout of Williamsburg.
Thursday’s game was a rescheduling of what was supposed to be the first game of the season for both sides. The Demons scored four goals in the first half, adding three more in the second half for emphasis. Williamsburg, for their part, was able to put one goal in each half, far from what was needed to overcome the Demon attack.
Allie Wulf scored 4 goals, with Angeline Anderson adding two, and Jocci Carter coming up with one as well. Angelique Murillo Hernandez, Maya Bruty, and Anderson all recorded assists.
Washington wraps up its regular season on a six-game winning streak and a record of 10-6, while Williamsburg drops to 5-11-1. The Demons next turn their attention to the postseason, with a rematch against Mid-Prairie on the horizon next Thursday. That game will be played in Wellman.
