The Sigourney-Keota soccer team hosted the West Branch Bears Tuesday at the Snake Pit, falling to the visitors by a 4-0 final. West Branch scored twice in each stanza. The Bears won shots on goal 28-2 and corner kicks 5-1. Connor Sexton led the Bears with a pair of goals, Reese Gingerich had a goal and an assist, Robby Boaz turned in a clean sheet with five saves to record the win. SK’s Peyton Baughman and Chase Haifley each generated a shot on goal offensively and Ty Goldman stood on his head to stop 20 shots in goal. The Bears improve to 7-6-3 this season, while SK drops to 2-8.
