Some things, are worth the wait. The Highland Huskies soccer team grabbed their first win of the season Tuesday night as road warriors at Wapello. The Huskies shut down the Indians for the 3-0 victory. Highland did all of their scoring in the first half, with Tyler Pierson beating the Indian defense twice for tallies, his fourth and fifth of the year, and Aiden Yoder adding the other goal, his first, and an assist. That was more than enough for the Huskies defense, anchored by keeper Jarrett Brackin and his 13 save clean sheet, as the Dogs dug in to get the job done. Highland finished with seven shots on goal and four corner kicks.

The Huskies are now 1-12 on the year as Wapello remains winless in 11 tries.
