
Arrows from local sharpshooters were flying around the Demon Den in Washington last week with much success as local teams and athletes brought home archery hardware.
The high school Demons were team block runners-up at 3316, just behind Solon’s winning score of 3338. Washington had the individual boys champion with Hunter Barnes posting a 289 that included 19 tens. Other top ten Demons were Layne Moore runner-up, and Zach Hotchkiss ninth. For the girls, Hannah Lipski was the leader in seventh with a 278 and 12 tens. In 3D, it was a team title for the Demons with their score of 1671. Lipski led again here, finishing as girls runner-up with a 280 and 14 tens. Charlee Read joined her in the top 10 at eighth. For the boys, Barnes was runner-up at 290 with 20 tens. Other top tens were Ayden Vargas third, Killian Ribble ninth and Braydon Clough 10th.
For the middle school Demons, it was a team championship in block at 3200. Jordan Thorius led the way for the Demon boys in third with a 281 and 15 tens. He was followed by teammates Logan Hotchkiss fourth, Jace Helfrich sixth and Jayse Thorius 10th. For the Washington girls, Aryana Jones was best in seventh with a 266 and nine tens. Kirya Coates placed ninth. In 3D, the middle school Demons were runners-up at 1621, behind Solon’s 1628. Top Washington performers were Jace Helfrich as boys runners-up with a 283 and 16 tens. Other top ten Demon boys were Braxton Rich fourth and Jordan Thorius seventh. For the girls, Lilith Hernandez was seventh at 261 with nine tens. Other top ten Demon girls were Miriam Pierce eighth, Jeslynn Stuart ninth and Addyson Neer 10th.
The Lincoln Demons were team block champs with their score of 2825. Mason Ousey was the boys winner at 263 with eight tens. Other Washington top ten boys were Rowan Ayrit third, Jack Green fifth, Isaac Love sixth, Axel Boone seventh, and Owen Gellerstedt eighth. For the Demon girls, Tinley Timmons was third at 226 with five tens. She was followed by teammates Rosalie Montz fourth, Kiara Murphy eighth and Emma Timmins 10th. In 3D, the Lincoln Demons completed the team title sweep with a 1408 score. Dawson Zieser was the individual boys champ with a 265 and eight tens. Other Lincoln boys were Gavin Sifuentes runners-up, Max Roth third, Rowan Ayrit fourth, Mason Oursey fifth, Jack Green sixth, Gradyn Wade seventh, Owen Gellerstedt eight, and Axel Boone 10th. For the girls, Rosalie Montz was runner-up at 215 with a pair of tens. Other Lincoln girls were Emma Timmins fourth, Baylor Stromwall fifth, Zoey Marner sixth, Kiara Murphy sevenths, and Tinley Timmins 10th.
For the Golden Hawk Archery club, the high school squad was third in block at 3279. Mid-Prairie’s leader was Ava Miller third in the girls standings with a 283 and 14 tens. For the Golden Hawk boys, Johnathon Pickard fired a 283 with 15 tens for eighth. In 3D, the High School Hawks were team runners-up with a 1643. Johnathon Pickard was the individual boys champion with a 290 and 20 tens. Eli Conrad was fourth for the Hawks. For the Golden Hawk girls, Ava Miller was 11th with a 269 with 12 tens.
For the middle school Hawks, it was a team runner-up block performance at 3197. Ellie Rand led the Hawks individually, placing fourth in the girls standings with a 271 with 11 tens. Josie Miller was fifth. For the boys, Noah Coblentz led the way in fifth with a 276 and 13 tens. Beckett Miller was eighth and Bryce Miller was ninth. In 3D, the Hawks were third as a team with their total of 1567. Noah Coblentz had the top boys score, finishing third with a 279 and 14 tens. Bryce Miller was eighth and Joshua Seale 10th. For the Golden Hawk girls, Brooklyn Liska was best in 14th with a 248 and seven tens.
Individual leaders for the elementary Hawks in block were Charlotte Wehr as girls runner-up with a 226 and five tens with Axel Miller the boys leader in ninth with a 238 and four tens. In 3D, Emilia Rodgers was the girls leader placing ninth with a 176, for the boys Axel Miller was 14th.
For the St. James shooters, it was a third place team finish in block with their score of 2328. Bennett Vittetoe won the girls championship with her score of 229 and a ten. Dalia Atilano Marcelino was sixth. For the boys, Marvin Colin was runner-up at 261 with 10 tens. In 3D, St. James was second with a 1219. Bennett Vittetoe completed her individual title sweep with a 235 and three tens. Other top ten St. James girls were Zionah Wise third and Saylor Altenhofen eighth. For the boys, Marvin Colin was ninth with a 215 and six tens.
