The Kalona Golf Course is the site of Tuesday’s 2025 Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk Boys Golf Invitational. The Hawks come into the nine-team event with a 2-2 record after wins over Iowa City Regina and Louisa-Muscatine and losses to West Branch and Tipton. Against the Tigers Monday, the Hawks were beaten by two, 163-165, despite Clayton Davidson’s medalist round of 38. On the year, the Mid-Prairie has a team average of 167 per nine. Individually, they are led by Davidson and Denver Nelson, both with 41 averages. All of Mid-Prairie’s top six, including Grayson Gingerich, Bryce Henry, Hudson Ehrenfelt and Ace Peck have averages at 45 or below.

Mid-Prairie will be joined at today’s event by Calamus-Wheatland, Durant, Louisa-Muscatine, Mediapolis, Mount Vernon, West Branch, West Liberty and Wilton. Action starts at 11:30 and continues into the afternoon and evening at the Kalona Golf Course.
