The Sigourney-Keota and Mid-Prairie wrestling teams had quality showings Saturday at the North Tama Redhawk Invitational in Traer. SK finished second in the team race with 158.5 points bested only by Hudson’s 173.5. They had a pair of champions on the day with Reanah Utterback winning gold at 106lbs with a 2-0 tournament that included a championship match fall in 44 seconds over Maxon Monat of North Tama. DJ Hammes won the title at 145, going 3-0. Runners-up for SK included Brady Clark at 126, Dan McLaughlin at 132, Reid Molyneux at 152, Ashton Schwab at 160, and Jack Clarahan at 170.

Mid-Prairie was fourth of 10 teams with their overall score of 143.5 points. The Hawks crowned one champ on the day Terry Bordenave winning gold at 195lbs on a 3-0 day that included a 13-6 championship decision over Trevor Koelling of Hudson. The Hawks had runner-up finishes from Mose Yoder at 113, Max Howe at 120, and Quinn Callahan at 220.
