The Highland football team fell victim to Wilton Friday as the Beavers Celebrated their homecoming with a 39-14 victory over the Huskies. Wilton methodically pulled away, leading 13-7 after one quarter and 25-14 at the half. They pitched a shut out in the second half, outscoring Highland 14-0 in the second 24 minutes to take the win. The Beavers outgained the Huskies 439 to 187 including 231 to 151 on the ground and 208 to 36 by air.

Wilton quarterback Aidan Walker had a big night going 20 of 24 for 208 yards, a pair of touchdowns and one interception. Jackson Hull led the Beaver ground game with 15 carries for 158 yards and two touchdowns. Highland was led on the ground by Brenton Bonebrake with 12 carries for 76 yards. Connor Grinstead put up 55 yards and a touchdown on the ground, through the air he had 36 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Logan Bonebrake pulled in both passes. Luke Miller led the Dogs on defense with nine tackles. Logan Bonebrake had an interception. With the loss, Highland is now 1-2 on the year, they host North Cedar this Friday.
