Several items for the county ambulance service were approved by the Washington County Board of Supervisors Tuesday.

The Board approved acknowledging the ambulance service’s plan to purchase a new ambulance in March of 2021. They also approved acknowledging a plan to trade in three cardiac monitors for three new ones, which Ambulance Director Jeremy Peck hopes to receive federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act funds for these purchases. The Board also approved the resignation of paramedic Brandee Kleopfer effective November 20th. Peck says Kleopfer is very appreciative of the ambulance service and hopes to someday return as an employee. The Supervisors then approved a six-month step raise plan for the ambulance staff effective January 1st. The proposed amount of raises range from $1.21 to $.39 an hour for the staff of the ambulance service, which began operations on July 1st.
