A pair of students at Winfield-Mt. Union High School have been honored by Beck’s Hybrids for their work on and off the football field. The Beck’s “Player With Heart” is an award given by the company annually to high school football players across the Midwest who demonstrate commitment and passion to athletics and activities off the field. Winfield-Mt. Union junior Seth Schurr and senior Chance Malone each received the award. 

Schurr plays nose tackle and offensive line for the Wolves. Aside from football he is on the wrestling team, golf team, trap shooting team, is a member of student council, National Honor Society and FFA. He plans to study agribusiness in college.

Malone is an offensive lineman and middle linebacker for the Wolves. He is involved in the Heartland Youth Show Lamb Circuit. He plans to study agribusiness and play football in college.
