Homecoming week for the Columbus Community School District kicked off with the red carpet being rolled out for this year’s homecoming royalty on Sunday. The coronation ceremony saw the crowning of queen Desiree Ovideo and king Owen Watson. Their coronation will be celebrated during the annual homecoming football game Friday night, where the Wildcats will take on Wapello. Social distancing and mask use will be encouraged during this week’s athletic events.
