The Hillcrest Academy Raven softball team travels to Louisa-Muscatine Wednesday in a makeup Southeast Iowa Superconference game. The Ravens come into the contest with an overall record of 0-8 after a 6-0 shut out loss to Winfield-Mt. Union on the road Tuesday. For the year, the Ravens are hitting .129 as a team, led by Esther Hughes with a .316 average on six hits, four runs scored and an RBI. In the circle Leah Bontrager is the lone pitcher for the Ravens. She has worked 39 innings with a 7.90 ERA and 0-7 record.

Louisa-Muscatine comes into the contest with an overall record of 10-1. Winners of five in a row, last time out the Falcons beat Pekin 12-0 on Tuesday. Louisa-Muscatine is currently ranked No. 2 in the state in class 2A in the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. For the year the Falcons are hitting .393, led by McKenna Hohenadel at .667 with 22 hits, 18 runs scored and 16 driven in. In the circle, L-M has a team ERA of 1.54, led by Haley Sanders with a 7-0 record in 39 innings with a 0.54 ERA. The Falcons swept a doubleheader between the two schools last year by 7-0 and 12-0 scores. They have won 13 straight in the series, outscoring Hillcrest 131-20 during that stretch.
