In a business-like trip South to Keokuk, the Washington baseball team manufactured 31 runs on Monday and left town with a pair of Southeast Conference wins over the Chiefs.

The offense went straight to work in game one plating four runs in the first and six more in the second to take a 10-1 advantage. Three more tallies in the fourth allowed the Demons to win 13-3 in five innings. Lucas Kroll picked up the win tossing 54 pitches in four innings giving up three runs on five hits. Wilx Witthoft went 3-for-4 at the dish with a pair of doubles and three RBI, Trevor Quigley recorded three hits with two RBI, and Luke Turner brought in four runs.

Nine players hit safely in the nightcap with Washington running away with an 18-2 victory in five frames. Crooked number innings of seven, five, and four led to another mercy-rule win. Zeke Slagel threw three innings giving up one earned run on four hits and striking out five. Reece Mayer went 3-for-4 with three RBI to lead the offense.

The Demons improve to 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the SEC. They get back on the diamond tomorrow hosting Fairfield in a doubleheader that can be heard on KCII.
