A perfect regular season is in the books for the WACO boys’ basketball team after an emphatic 57-28 road victory against Van Buren on Tuesday.

Van Buren stuck around for a while trailing just 13-12 after one and 24-18 at the break. The flip was switched to start the third, as WACO outscored their opponent 19-4 in that frame and coasted to the 29-point win. Nik Coble recorded another double-double with 18 points on nine of 11 shooting and 10 rebounds. Gabe Reichenbach added 13 points, Pietro Vannini had 11, and Drew Kissell dished out five assists.

The Warriors close the regular season 21-0 and their first district game is next Thursday between the winner of Winfield-Mt. Union and Columbus Community.
