It’s go-time for the Washington boys’ basketball team, as they open the season tonight hosting Centerville.

High expectations surround the Demons this year, as they bring back 78% of their scoring from a 9-10 team last season. Trevor Quigley is back after averaging 9.6 points a game including shooting 39% from three and Trashaun Willis averaged 5.1 rebounds. Centerville went 7-12 last winter, but they bring back their top three leading scorers in Quentin Koestner, Matt McDonald, and Brady Kauzlarich each averaging 10 points a night. Demon head coach Collin Stark tells KCII Sports the experience they have has showed in the preseason. “There are a lot of guys that have been in this program for a while and they know our system. We always tweak it a little every year, but we do not have to install our base stuff anymore. We have already added a few wrinkles and are way farther a long than we were at this time last season.”

The season commences at 7:45 p.m. tonight in Washington.
