A Cobra touchdown was a common occurrence in Keosauqua on Friday night, as Sigourney-Keota rolled all over Van Buren 60-0.

Sam Sieren and JD Stout each had a rushing score and cleared the 100-yard rushing barrier with 114 and 105 yards, respectively. Cade Molyneux was two of five through the air for 32 yards and a touchdown to Brady Duwa from 17 yards out. The team had 504 yards of total offense, but head coach Jared Jensen tells KCII Sports that came from grinding out drives more so than big plays. “Van Buren sat with a two-high safety look and that is something we never see. With one less guy in the box we just methodically drove down the field with the rushing game. In weeks past we had a lot of big plays, but in this one we just kept picking up first downs.”

Sigourney-Keota has yet to be tested in their 6-0 start with their average margin of victory being +40. They return home Friday against Columbus.
