The annual summer celebration of Crooked Creek Days in Winfield gets underway today.

This year’s theme is “Rock Woodstock 2019.” This year marks the 50th anniversary of the music festival. The weekend’s festivities gets started with a supper at the Twin Lakes Country Club Friday at 5 p.m. Following the supper, there will be a cardboard boat and kayak race at 7 p.m. Activities get started Saturday with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church followed by a 5K Fun Run at 7:30 a.m. Throughout the day, there will be inflatables, quilt shows, R.C. car racing, and a talent show. The KCII Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live from Winfield from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. as part of the KCII Summer Town Tour.

Friday, August 2nd

All Friday Activities are at Twin Lakes Country Club

7 pm: Golf Cart Decorating Contest Judging

10 am: Craftiest Chair Contest, silent auction & voting until 6pm

11 am: Button Door Prizes begins, dawing every hour until 4pm

11 am: CCD Big Ball Tournament, Softball Fields

11 am: Inflatable Bounce Zone (until 10 pm)

11 am: Youth Activities (Up Town)

11 am: Quilt Show (Methodist Church)

3 pm: The Might of Crooked Creek: Strength Conest. (Reg. at 2 pm)

4 pm: RC Car Racing (City Hall)

5 pm: The Bill Riley Talent Show (Reg. at 4:30pm)

5 pm: Dinner served by the Henry Co. Cattlemans Association

6:30 pm: Large Prizes Drawing, must be present to win
