Iowa Mennonite Seniors Suzanna Yoder and Rubye Ney will be remembered as great softball players, but they will also be remembered as two of the most prolific thieves on the base paths in school history. The pair finished their careers with a combined 64 stolen bases, Yoder accounting for 39 of those, Ney with 25. Those career totals put them fifth and sixth in school history respectively. Yoder’s season best was 14 stolen bags, a total she reached twice, her senior and sophomore seasons. That number ranks seventh all-time. Ney’s high water mark was 11 stolen bases during her sophomore season. The stolen base records at the school are both held by Mo Brenneman who swiped 45 bases in 2010 and finished her career with 106.
