The bats came to life in the late innings on Tuesday night for the Highland baseball team, as they surpassed New London 9-6 in the regular season finale.

Trailing 6-3 after four innings, the Huskies tallied two runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth to come away with the victory. Jacob Leonard was credited with the win going two innings without giving up a hit. Highland had 13 knocks led by Leonard going 3-for-4 with two RBI and Brody Burton scored three times.

The Huskies are now 12-10 and gear up for the first round of districts against Cardinal on Saturday.
