A new motor grader will be coming to Washington County. At Tuesday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting, the board unanimously acknowledged the purchase of the equipment by the County Engineer. The new motor grader, along with a mastless wing, will cost $270,970. County Engineer Jacob Thorius explained the county will be trading in a 2006 motor grader that has over 13,000 hours on it, so the net cost of the new Caterpillar equipment is $218,970. It will arrive in the summer and the cost will be from the next fiscal year’s budget.
