The Washington basketball teams are back on the court tonight for their last Southeast Conference action of the year, with the girls hosting and the boys traveling to Mount Pleasant.

The Demon girls come into tonight sitting at 7-12 after a one-point loss to KCII-area foe Sigourney this past Saturday.  Their last conference game came the night before, beating Fort Madison by a 41-24 score.  The Demons were led in that game by Isabel Bailey, who sports a team-high 8.1 points per game in conference play.  They saw these Panthers at their place back on January 4, taking an eight-point loss.

The boys, meanwhile, are sitting at 8-8 on the season and are winners of four of their last five games, including a 38-point trouncing of Williamsburg this past Saturday.  Three Demons were in double-figures in that one, with Trevor Quigley and Treshaun Willis both putting up 15 and Kolten Hinrichsen tacking on 11 off the bench.  Their last meeting with the Panthers saw some heartbreak, losing by four after leading for much of the game.

The girls’ game tonight will be live from Washington on FM 106.1 KCII starting with the Washington HyVee Pregame Show at 7:15 with a 7:45 tip.
