It’s homecoming week for Winfield-Mt. Union (0-3) and the Wolves will seek their first win of the year tonight when they duke it out with Cardinal (0-2).

The Wolves will look to bounce back from a 42-0 loss to Wapello last week. Christian Gerot will try to jumpstart the offense, as he has completed 10 of his 29 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown on the year. Graham Hagge has had the bulk of the running carries for 52 yards. Defensively, Juanito Piper has done his part with 13 tackles on the year.

Cardinal is still trying to find their groove offensively with just 300 yards in their first two contests. Trey Albert has completed 15 of his 40 throws for 95 yards and two touchdowns to lead the pass heavy team. Gabe Reyes has managed 125 yards rushing on 24 carries. The Wolves’ offense will have to go through Devon Danger, who has collected 17 tackles on the year.

The game gets started at 7 p.m. tonight at Winfield-Mt. Union High School.
