The 2016 Iowa State Fair queen will be crowned this evening and Anna Pence is vying for the title on behalf of Washington County. The state fair queen contestants are judged on personality, attitude, appearance and awareness, leadership and citizenship, contribution to community, overall appearance, charm and poise. Pence shared with KCII that since being crowned the 2016 Washington County Fair Queen she’s been preparing for the state fair with mock interviews and by meeting with county representatives to learn more about the community.
