The Iowa Mennonite School boys’ soccer team (3-1) recorded their third consecutive win of the season yesterday as they took on the Wapello Indians (0-5). IMS came away with the 5-1 victory at home.. IMS was able to score three goals in the first half. First by senior Danny Lam after the first five minutes of play. Later in the half, junior Jacob Schmeider was able to kick the ball to the net and with three minutes left in the half senior Kirby Shetler kicked the ball into the goal to make the score 3-0 at halftime.

After IMS gave up a goal early in the second half, Lam would add two more goals to seal the game for IMS. Lam had a hat trick to finish out the game, making it his third consecutive multi-goal game. Senior goal keeper Kobi Russom had five saves to finish out the day.

IMS moves to 3-1 and will next host Fairfield on Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by Fort Madison and West Liberty at noon with a consolation and championship game to follow.
