It was a tough season for the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys’ basketball that ended with a record of 1-21. The Golden Hawks only averaged about 37.5 points per game.

They will be losing six seniors from this squad, including; Collin Weber, Devon Young, Trent Fisher, Matt McGaffey, Cody Knepp, and Benny Ahrens.

The Golden Hawks are hopeful for next season with the players they have returning. They will have leading scorer junior Nolan Faselt back, who led the team with 193 total points and 9.2 points per game. Sophomore Isaiahn Powell will be back, he led the team in three-pointers made with 20.
Sophomore Caleb Statler looks to be back after his season was cut short due to injury. Statler at 6-foot-8 was one of the better shooters on the team shooting 41.9 percent. Junior Noah Altenhofen will be back after starting a good portion of the second half of the season. Junior Ryan Cortum who also started a good portion of the season will also return.

A bright spot for the Mid-Prairie basketball team from the past year was their lone win which was against West Liberty back in January where they won in a thrilling one in Wellman, 46-45.
