The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved the first reading of an ordinance which will give the board the ability to declare areas along county roads as no parking zones by resolution. Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius stated that there is an area near the Four Corners, along old Highway 218, where people park that poses a hazard for snow plows. The creation of this ordinance would provide the supervisors the authority to designate that area as a no parking zone with various degrees of enforcement for fines.
