Representatives for the DNR were present at yesterdays Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting. The representatives talked to the board about recent testing that was done near the communities of Richmond and Rubio. The samples were taken from areas with reported waste water discharge, waterways and ditches. The representatives said that preliminary results show both caffeine and high levels of e coli in the samples taken.

They went on to say that this would indicate there is still an issue. The DNR will give a report to the County when the testing is completed. The issue will be addressed again at the next Supervisors meeting.

Also at the meeting a change was made to the Washington County/HACAP Orchard Hill rehabilitation project bid. An additional $562 will be needed for drywall. When cabinets were removed from a kitchen, mold was found prompting the need for the new drywall.
