Columbus Junction cross country ran at Mt. Pleasant last night. The Wildcats finished fourth for the boys and girls.

On the girl’s side of things, Caitlin Chaney led the way with a ninth place finish with a time of 17:17. Other scorers were Taylor Hills in 11th, Claire Hamilton in 20th, Grace Chapman in 24th and Ashley Canny in 26th.

The girl’s champion was Mediapolis with 46 points, Columbus Junction finished with 90.

For the boys, Eli Sents was the top runner finishing fifth with a time of 18:01, in front of teammate Efrain Barajas who finished sixth with a time of 18:02.

Other scorers were Josh Keller in 28th, Mitchell Roush in 45th and Dalton Howell in 47th.

The boy’s champion was also Mediapolis with 46 points, while the Wildcats had 131.
