An urban renewal plan is just a part of what is being talked about at tonight’s Washington City Council meeting.  Washington City Administrator Brent Hinson says this plan is for the Tax Increment Financing district for the Oakwood Village Subdivision.  A public hearing regarding this plan is being conducted as well.

The second reading of an ordinance amendment for limited sight-distance intersections and a reading for amending the city code for animal protection and control is also part of the meeting.

The Council is also holding discussion on unauthorized burials in city cemeteries and the upgrading of tornado sirens in the city because of a radio narrow banding requirement.  The Washington City Council meeting begins at 6:00 tonight in the old public library.
