A Mt. Pleasant woman was hospitalized after a car accident near the Washington/Henry County line Tuesday morning. The Iowa State Patrol says 64 year old Mary Lee Kempf was westbound on Highway 78 when she failed to yield at the 218 intersection. They say her SUV smashed into the driver’s side of a semi. Police say Kempf suffered incapacitating injuries. She was taken to Henry County Hospital. The driver of the semi was not injured.
