The Washington County Sheriff’s Office will likely need to buy a new car after a multi vehicle crash on 218 this week. Sheriff Jerry Dunbar says the vehicle was hit by a tractor trailer that lost control near Riverside. He says the police car is likely totaled. Dunbar says luckily no one was seriously injured. Recently hired Deputy Brandon Hamilton was in the car at the time of the crash. He was treated at a hospital and released. A Cedar Rapids man was also treated and released.
