
The Columbus Wildcats’ girls golf team took on teams from several different conferences on Friday at Mount Plesant, turning in a sixth place performance with a team score of 451.
Wildcat senior Hailey Wellington had a great day on the course, leading the Wildcats at 94 for the 18-hole tournament, also good for third place overall. Other Wildcats contributing to the team score included Kinlee Brown at 101, Jocelyn Hernandez at 103, and Ellie Valencia at 153. Ally Hernandez shot a 166 for the day.
Clear Creek Amana were the team champions for the day at 387, followed by Ottumwa, Oskaloosa, Keokuk, Mount Pleasant, Columbus, then Danville. CCA’s Brooklyn Lee was the individual champion at 88.
