The Washington girls’ golf team went under 200 strokes for the second time this season Thursday, placing third at an SEC meet in Flint Hills Golf Course in Burlington.

Washington took third at 193 strokes. Senior Adalyn Long was the Demons’ leader for the day, placing fifth overall at a nine-over 44. Sophomore Elizabeth Hora finished sixth at 45. Also contributing to the team score were sophomore Cecelia Mitchell at 49 and Lucy Sands/Sydney Stouder at 55. Freshman Ashlynn Long shot a 57.

Fort Madison were the overall champions for the day at 180, with junior Natalie Wright leading the field at a four-over 39.
