Winfield-Mt. Union hosted several girls’ track teams, including WACO and Lone Tree, for the WMU Relays on Thursday.

WACO finished fourth with 94 team points. Individual champions included Macie Carter in the 1500m run with a time of 5:30.63, Bren Graber in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.05, Josie Dykstra in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:11.49, the 1600m distance medley relay team, the 4x100m shuttle hurdle relay team, and the 4x800m relay team. Second place performances came from Ryen Pepper in the 200m, and Graber in the high jump. Javan Davis placed third in the 100m hurdles.

Lone Tree finished sixth with 39 team points. Ava Christofferson brought back first place finishes in the 100m with a time of 13.56, and the long jump with a distance of 17’03”. The Lady Lions’ 4x100m relay team finished second.

WMU finished seventh with 25 team points. Quin Smith was the champion in the high jump, clearing 5’05”. Kaelyn Townsley finished second in the 100m hurdles.

Van Buren County were the overall champions, with 135 team points, with Louisa-Muscatine second and Danville third.
