A new Washington Police Officer was sworn in on Monday.

Officer Nicholas Davis is familiar with the department as he completed an internship here in 2021 while attending Indian Hills Community College. He is an Iowa Law Enforcement Academy certified officer and worked the last five years as a Deputy Sheriff in Louisa County.

He was sworn in by Mayor Millie Youngquist on April 20th, and joins 13 other members on the staff.
