
The Keota Eagle boys and girls golf teams continued their tour of the South Iowa Cedar League, traveling to Colfax-Mingo Thursday to face the home Tigerhawks and Iowa Valley Tigers.
The Eagle boys were winners with a 170 team score. Colfax-Mingo was second at 181 and Iowa Valley third at 195. Keota swept the medals with Brennan McGuire winning the individual title with a two-over-par 38. Porter Cave was medalist runner-up with a 41. Other Eagles included Tucker Sprouse 45, Aspen Galindo 46, Keegan Clarke 47 and Jacob Libe 53. Keota is now 10-1 on the season.
The Keota girls placed second with their group score of 274. Iowa Valley won the championship with a 240. Top Keota card came from Halle Heisdorffer with a 29-over 65. Lily Brenner was meet medalist on her home course with 50. Jasmine Slaymaker of Iowa Valley was runner-up with a 53. Other Eagle scores included Brynn Conrad and Emily Conger 67 and Hadley Cave 75. The Keota girls stand at 1-4 this year.
