Washington girls’ golf posted its best result of the young spring season, finishing second at the Keokuk Conference meet at Elks Fairview Golf Course on Thursday.

The Demons shot a team score of 186, their best result of the season and their first time going under 200. Senior Adalyn Long finished second place overall, tying with Fort Madison junior Kylie Lumino at a 4-over 39. Keokuk junior Carrigan Morris finished top of the leaderboard once again, scoring a 37 on her home course.

Fort Madison were the winners, shooting a team score of 180. The teams of the Southeast Conference will next head to Mount Pleasant and Mount Pleasant Golf and Country Club on Monday.
