Join the Washington Performing Arts Series as they commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with a special concert event in Washington.
Helping mark this historic milestone, Iowa Brass will present a performance in two parts: the first half will showcase contemporary and brass ensemble music which the Iowa Brass is preparing for various national competitions. The second half will be devoted to Americana and patriotic music featuring works by American composers.
Iowa Brass is an amateur brass band dedicated to the tradition of British-style brass band music. Founded in 1985, they remain the only ensemble of their kind in Iowa and have performed for enthusiastic audiences throughout the Midwest.
The performance will be held this Sunday beginning at 3:30 p.m.
