
The Sigourney Savage girls track and field team traveled to Iowa Valley Monday for the Tiger’s Ruth Ahrens Invitational. Sigourney placed sixth of nine teams with their score of 59 points. Williamsburg won the meet with 155 points. The Savages had one event championship on the night with Addison Yates continuing her dominant season in the distance events, taking the 3000 title in 11:55.38.
Other top performances for Sigourney included Ellie Yates runner-up in the 1500. Third each for Kia Montgomery in the 200 and Addie Yates in the 1500. Fourth for Bella deOliveira in the 100, Brynn Clarahan in the 400 hurdles and the 4×1 team of Carmalita Cave, deOliveira, Jasey Ingle and Montgomery. A trio of relays finished fifth including the 4×4 team of Kinsley Clubb, Izzy Heisdorffer, Abby Davis and Amelia Phillips, the distance medley with Abyl McCulley, Ashtyn Tish, Ella Bahlman and Cloee Wilson and the shuttle with Ingle, Clubb, Phillips and Davis.
