The Sigourney boys basketball team made their presence felt on both sides of the ball during the most recent season.

Sigourney finished seventh in Class 1A, averaging 4.3 blocks per game. Their 99 total blocks were ninth most in the state. The leading rim-protector individually was John Berg with 37 swats.

Offensively, the Savages averaged 16.6 assists per game. Ike Molyneux led Sigourney with 107 total helpers this winter.

Solon Yates left his mark as a sharpshooter for the Savages, knocking down a sizzling 74 threes this season, fourth most in 1A basketball.

Sigourney finished with an 18-5 overall record, their most wins since 2015.
