A special election was announced by the Henry County Board of Supervisors to fill the role of Henry County Attorney. Henry County Assistant Attorney Abbie Liechty and Winfield attorney Beckie Wilson have filed their candidacies for the position. The election will be held on Tuesday, March 31. Early voting will be available, as well as absentee ballots for request by mail.

The election is being held to find a replacement for former County Attorney Darin Slater. According to Henry County Board of Supervisors meeting minutes, Slater resigned his post on February 9th.
