Washington quarterback Kael Williams has officially accepted his invite to participate in the 2026 edition of the Iowa Shrine Bowl.

Played each summer, and first played in 1972, the Iowa Shrine Bowl recognizes senior athletes and coaches across the state. The game pits teams from the north side of Iowa versus teams from the south side of the state. This year’s game will be played July 25 at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls.

Last season, Williams threw for 796 yards and 4 touchdowns. He rushed for 1137 yards and 17 more touchdowns. Williams will be taking his talents to Drake University this fall, where he will play running back for the Bulldogs. Williams will play for the South team at the Shrine Bowl.

Funds raised during the game benefit Shriners’ Children’s Hospital. Last season, the South defeated the North, 16-13.
