The Washington City Council will be discussing engineering services at their first meeting of the year on Tuesday.
There will be a discussion and consideration of a resolution to approve a Technical Services Agreement with Strand Associates for Engineering Services. The City has had a contract with Strand Associates for water and wastewater engineering services for many years. This resolution is to approve an updated master service agreement. The last agreement with Strand Associates was approved in 2013.
The council will also consider approving the Washington City Police Department 28E Agreement for the I-PLEDGE Program. The Police Department has again been invited to participate in the I-PLEDGE Tobacco, Alternative Nicotine and Vapor Product Enforcement Program for FY2026. This is a program they have participated in for several years and during the last three years all retailers checked in Washington were in compliance. The agreement requires a compliance check at each of the licensed retailers between now and February 15, 2026.
The meeting is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. in Washington City Hall.
