
Temperatures and snow totals were above normal in Washington for the month of November. According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, Washington’s average temperature last month was 40.5 degrees, a little more than two degrees above normal.
The normal snowfall for November in Washington is 1.4 inches. The recent snowstorm surpassed that mark. Ten inches of snow was reported in Wellman on Saturday. Snowfall totals across the state ranged from 14.8 inches in Jesup to four inches in south central Iowa.
Frigid conditions are in the forecast for the KCII listening area. According to the NWS, temperatures are expected to drop below zero Thursday morning with wind chills falling between -10 to -20 degrees.
