Women in agriculture can mark their calendars for upcoming learning opportunities as Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is bringing its well-known Annie’s Project 101 program to the area this winter.
Southeast Iowa will host one of these signature courses, designed to support and empower women in agriculture through education, networking, and practical resources. This course is open to all. This winter’s course in southeast Iowa is a collaborative effort between Louisa and Washington County Extension and Outreach. It will be held at two local venues: Marr Park near Ainsworth and the Youth Center at the Louisa County Fairgrounds in Columbus Junction.
Annie’s Project is a nationally recognized program that has impacted over 3,700 participants in Iowa since 2004. The program provides a small-group environment where women can share experiences and learn from local agricultural professionals. Sessions focus on building confidence in decision-making and managing risk across five key areas: financial, marketing, human resources, legal, and production.
The course fee of $130 includes all materials. Participants can use code LOUISAWASHINGTON for a $30 discount when registering for this course.
Scholarships are available with support from Farm Credit Services of America.
Seating is limited to 25 participants, and participants from any county are welcome to register. Register online by January 20, 2026. More information on this course can be found with this news story at KCIIRadio.com.
