The Kirkwood Workplace Learning Connection will be hosting a career fair Wednesday in Washington. 

The Washington County High School Career Fair will be held at the Iowa Army National Guard Readiness Center in Washington on Wednesday, October 29th. More than 475 high school students from Washington, Mid-Prairie, and Highland high schools are expected to explore future career opportunities at the event.

This new event is designed to connect students with local employers and showcase in-demand careers in healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, business, skilled trades and more. 

More than 20 local businesses are slated to participate, providing students with a chance to make professional connections, ask questions, and learn about part-time or post-graduation opportunities in their communities. 

By partnering with local schools and employers, WLC creates hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for success after high school and strengthens the region’s economic future.
